where do you stand?
We all know those people. You know, those people who don't believe. Either they refuse to believe in God, or they choose to believe in false gods instead of the one, true God. We all know those people.
I heard a cute little story the other day. A certain friend of my sister is a strong believer. She's the kind of believer we all should be. You know, the kind that stands for her faith no matter who she talks to. The kind that is so convicted for Christ, that she's always prepared for what to say to those who don't. Apparently this lady gets into a lot of discussions with a coworker who believes in many "gods", but not God in Heaven. This coworker finally told her he couldn't believe she believed in a fiery hell that people who don't follow God will go to and spend eternity in. Her response was simply, if I'm wrong and you're right, well, I'll just die and turn back into dust and never know the difference anyway. But if you're wrong, and I'm right, you'll die and spend eternity in that hell. Why is it soooo hard to believe? Even if I wasn't sure what to believe, I'd rather take my chances on Heaven than hell!! Wouldn't you?

This really impressed me too. When my friend witnesses, she is whole hearted about it that's for sure. She is a living example of what I heard a preacher once say in a sermon, "Christianity ain't for wimps". God bless the ones who take a stand! Thanks for mentioning this incident. I too would much rather choose Heaven.
I forgot to mention, I've commented on a few of your past posting. Love this blog!
Good story! I have always felt that way myself (especially during times when my faith might be questioned). I would rather "believe" and be wrong 'cause I don't lose anything that way. But for those who don't "believe" - I am always speechless! There are just too many things around us to show there has to be a God! We may not always understand the way the world works or why things happen, but I can always find God in things. I think Gigi's friend said it perfectly! You go, girl!!!! :) I am curious, tho, what her co-worker thought, tho. Is he the least bit nervous that she could just might be right??!! What a price to pay if she is, huh?!
