Much to think about
I've been sitting here thinking. Actually, I've been thinking about this a lot lately. (Contrary to popular belief, I do think a lot, lol) But, I've been thinking about eternal life. I've been thinking about people that don't have the hope, the promise of it in their lives yet. I just don't hardly know how people who don't know Jesus handle the hard times in their lives. How do they handle death? How do they handle the thought of their own death?
You know, it makes me extremely happy when I think about my future with God. No more tears, depression, suffering, funerals, heartache. I would be nothing and am nothing without God. But, wow, how exciting to know that life is MORE than this crazy world. I mean, don't you get sick of it all? I know there are beautiful things and happy things here on earth. But what is promised to us is SO much more wonderful that we can't even imagine it with our earthly minds. It's so worth putting our faith in God for that alone.
But, the happiness sometimes gets overshadowed by sadness. Not for me, b/c honey, I'm doing all I can to live eternally with God!! It's for the family members, the friends, the neighbors, the strangers that don't know God. For those that don't have that personal relationship. For those that don't even believe. It makes me so sad to think of these people living their lives like this is all there is. How completely sad to believe that THIS....is all there is. I just find it hard to believe that so many in this world just believe they live this life, and then they die, and that's all they care about. Why wouldn't they want to believe that something more wonderful is waiting for them eternally...if they only accept it. The weird thing is so many people believe in a Heaven, b/c they want to believe that's where all their family goes when they pass on. But, they continue to live their lives any old worldly way. And, you know, where there is a a Heaven, there is most certainly a Hell also. And it's not just a place for murderers.
If I have one prayer, it's that all would come to repentance and realize they need God. Why not believe in Him. He's good! He loves us! He wants to give us eternal life with Him, not the "other" place.
I don't mind be made fun of, or laughed at , or looked at differently for my faith. It's the most important thing in my life. I want to go to Heaven. As the Mercy Me song goes, "Take this life from me, I don't need it anymore!"

"When you were slaves to sin, you were free from the control of righteousness. What
benefit did you reap at that time from the things that you are now ashamed of? Those
things result in death! But now you have been set free from sin and have become slaves
to God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result it eternal life. For the wages
of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."
Romans 6:20-23
