Priorities
"I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away....And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, "Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away." Revelation 21:1, 3-4)
For those of you who are like me and hate the feelings of pain, sorrow, stress, grief and burdens....rejoice in the fact there is a better day coming! This life is not without these things. No life on earth is struggle free. But, through the sacrifice and blood of Jesus, we will see the day without it. Wow, gives me goosebumps ! Does is excite you? More than your favorite things on this earth? More than the trip you might be planning on taking next summer? When you think about it, what does it say about our priorities? Where does eternal life rate in your list of priorities?

I know have refered to this verse before, but I get a lot of comfort from it: The Lord is my rock and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.
Psalms 18:2
The Lord also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble.
Psalms 9:9
In times of stress, pain, sorrow, and grief, we just need to go to God in prayer.
Do I hear an Amen!?
You go girl! Loved that devotion! Wow. Awesome. I did get chills. My heart even raced! Amen Sister!
Man, and Sheila...wow. What blessings God gives me. I love you two!
Isn't it neat how, just when we need it, God speaks to each of us!!! I have a bit nervous today over my upcoming hospital visit! What will it be? Will it be nothing? What if it is something? All those questions that creep into your mind when you are trying to not be worried! And then, I read Emjaye's "Takin' Time For Him" and remember to pray!!! :) Wow! I have asked for prayer from others, but hadn't really sat down and prayed for myself! Thanks, Emjaye, for the inspiring verse! I needed it! :)
That sentence should say, "I have been a bit nervous today." :)
I love that verse! I think of it sometimes when I remember Dad and I can rejoice knowing that He is in a better place, and someday, my tears over his passing will be gone!
