You know, sometimes it takes a little week of seeing children enjoy singing and doing things for God to make us stop and think....when did we lose that excitement for God? Why does it become harder to invite our friends? Why does it become harder to get excited to come worship even just ONE day a week? Sometimes, our little hearts and minds just need a reminder......

Open Doors

I'm so excited about some new things we are doing at Pickaway...namely things to do with prayer. The church is always going to struggle. We have seen struggles more than we have seen the opposite. But, God has continued to keep us around for His work in this area. I truly believe He wants growth for us. He wants to see this area come to the realization that they need Him, and not just on Sundays. He wants our family and friends and neighbors to have a personal relationship with Him and not just leave it at that, but to realize that it is then time to work and serve Him. How can we call ourselves Christians if we are not actively working for Him? We can't. Everyday I pray I'll reach someone. I pray God will open doors for me to tell, to inspire and to lead. I want workers to come and be a part of Pickaway, but I have to realize that I need to be a worker before I can expect anyone else to be. I have to get busy and be about my Father's business. I can't do that on my own. I need to develop a greater prayer life for that. I need to study and surround myself with other saints on the Lord's Day. If I neglect any of these things, I am neglecting the Creator, the Savior, I am neglecting God.
