My prayer

My prayer for 2007....

Dear Father,
May this be a year that I live for You more fully. May You bless me with wisdom to seek and know Your will, may You bless me with Your words so I might inspire others, may You give me courage to stand and serve and strength not to live like the world. May You bless my prayer life, my home life and the lives of all I come in contact with. Use me to do Your will and to be an influence. I pray for Your church, for my family, for my friends. May the hard times we face make us stronger and may we remember to give You praise for the good and the bad. As I face this new year of new beginnings, may You guide and direct me in all things because I can do nothing and am nothing without you! All love and praise to You who has made me and promised me eternity,

Christmas is more than a day

Dear Friend,
I just had to write to tell you how much I love you and care for you. Yesterday, I saw you walking and laughing with your friends; I hoped that soon you'd want Me to walk along with you, too. So, I painted you a sunset to close your day and whispered a cool breeze to refresh you. I waited; you never called. I just kept on loving you.
As I watched you fall asleep last night, I wanted so much to touch you. I spilled moonlight onto your face trickling down your cheeks as so many tears have. You didn't even think of me; I wanted so much to comfort you.
The next day I exploded a brilliant sunrise into a glorious morning for you. But you woke up late and rushed off to work-you didn't even notice.
My sky became cloudy and My tears were the rain.
I love you! Oh, if you'd only listen. I really love you! I try to say it in the quiet of the green meadow and in the blue sky. The wind whispers My love throughout the treetops and spills it into the vibrant colors of the flowers.
I shout it to you in the thunder of the great waterfalls and composed love songs for birds to sing for you. I warm you with the clothing of My sunshine and perfume the air with nature's sweet scent.
My love for you is deeper than the ocean and greater than any need in your heart. If you'd only realize how I care. I died just for you. My Dad sends His love. I want you to meet Him. He cares, too. Fathers are just that way.
So please call Me soon. No matter how long it takes, I'll wait because I love you.

I can't say enough

The world is so much bigger than me. I'm just a speck in the dust of life. Seriously! But, how amazing is it that I can be a part of the most wonderful parts of life. The parts that hold the meaning, the parts that hold the future. On a day when I'm feeling really blessed to be a Christian, I just feel the need to list some of my blessings.
-I am blessed to be a Christian....I don't know where I'd be if I wasn't a part of the family of God. I'd be without hope.
-I am blessed to be an American Christian....obviously, this world is going further and further towards destruction, but at least I live in a place which still holds some values and morals to be true.
-I am blessed that I GET the opportunity to worship with a church family every single Lord's Day....God gives us the opportunity, we have to desire it. Again, without it, where would we be?
-I am blessed that I GET the opportunity to share the Word of God w/ others....it's not easy b/c most people don't want to accept it in this day and age, but God gave us His Word and wants us to share it!
-I am blessed to have grown up in a loving Christian family....we weren't forced to go to church, but with the knowledge and learning we received over the years, we desired it! I wouldn't want to be anywhere else on the Lord's Day if I could help it.
-I am blessed to have this means of sharing my blessings! :)

**Don't take your day-to-day everyday life for granted. You never know when your world that you know will change. And, sometimes, it changes FOREVER! God is coming back for his family someday. He only knows the faithful...I don't know a/b you, but I want to do EVERYTHING I can to be one of the one's He knows!
